Highest crit damage multiplier in the game (1800%), durable at 115 base HP and 40 Armor, and built for AoE melee through Axe Spin and Ground Slam. Life Leech + HP Per Hit creates a self-sustaining combat loop that excels in Torment clearing.

Affix priorities

  1. Crit Damage — 1800% base means every percentage point of crit damage is worth more here than on any other hero
  2. Attack Damage — directly scales all melee swings, Axe Spin and Ground Slam
  3. AoE — widens Ground Slam and Axe Spin to hit more enemies per cast
  4. HP Leech % — amplifies the Bloodlust life-leech loop
  5. Max HP — sustains the HP pool that Leech refills

Rune priorities

  • All Hero Attack Damage % — highest leverage on base attack damage
  • All Hero Attack Speed — Axe Spin hits trigger per swing; speed multiplies total hits

Tips

  • Bloodlust + HP Leech gear turns high incoming damage into self-healing — the Slayer can outlast damage in Torment if Leech is stacked high enough.
  • Commander's Cry buffs the entire party's attack — Slayer is a strong group-play pick despite being a melee class.
  • Slam Jump repositions and deals AoE burst on landing; use it to open boss fights before Axe Spin.
