The Cube explained

The Cube is Task Bar Hero's long-game crafting station — it levels as you feed it, unlocking stronger recipes at set milestones. Here's what it does and when it's worth your materials.

What the Cube is

The Cube is a crafting station that gets better the more you use it. Running its recipes levels it up — from 1 all the way to 100 — and as it climbs it unlocks new recipes and stronger outputs. Think of it as a slow-burn multiplier sitting next to your stage grind, not a system you finish in an afternoon.

Levels and grade gates

The Cube's recipes are gated behind its level. The important thresholds sit around level 10 and level 50 — reaching each one opens up a stronger tier of outputs. So early Cube play is really about one thing: leveling it efficiently to clear those gates.

  • Early on, run whichever recipes level the Cube fastest — you're buying access to the gated tiers.
  • Once the higher-grade recipes unlock, switch to the ones that feed your synthesis or active build.
  • There are eight recipes total — check each one's cost and output on the Cube page before committing materials.

When to invest

The Cube rewards patience. As a beginner it's safe to ignore — it's a multiplier on a loop you haven't built yet, and feeding it early steals materials from upgrades that push your stages faster. Start running it once you have spare materials and a stable farm, then let it compound in the background. Its outputs flow straight into synthesis, so the two systems grow together.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Cube do in Task Bar Hero?
The Cube is a crafting station that levels up as you use it, unlocking better recipes and stronger outputs as it climbs. It's a long-term power multiplier you feed materials into alongside your normal stage progress.
How does the Cube level up?
It levels from 1 to 100 by running recipes, and its recipes gate behind level thresholds — notably around level 10 and level 50 — so reaching those milestones is what unlocks the better outputs.
Which Cube recipes are worth running?
Early on, run whatever levels the Cube fastest so you clear the grade gates. Once the higher-grade recipes unlock, prioritise the ones that feed your synthesis or your active build. There are eight recipes in total — the Cube page lists each one's cost and output.
Should I rush the Cube as a beginner?
No. The Cube is a multiplier on a loop you build first. Get comfortable clearing stages and upgrading gear, then start feeding the Cube once you have spare materials — rushing it early just slows your stage progress.
