How drops are decided
Every stage hands out loot through boxes, and each box rolls against a weighted drop table. The weights are everything: an item can be common in one box and rare in another, so where you farm changes what you get far more than how long you farm.
Farming for upgrades vs. farming for money
Decide which you're doing before you pick a stage:
- For power — farm the hardest stage you clear quickly. Higher stages weight their boxes toward better gear, and fast clears mean more rolls per minute.
- For money — work backwards from the item. Find which box and stage drop it, then farm the fastest stage on that list.
- Check the price first on the Market — a high drop rate on a worthless item isn't a farm worth running.
Targeting the high-value drops
You don't have to hunt blind. Best drops ranks the most valuable items and points to where they come from, so you can pick a farm by what it's actually worth. Pair that with the drop tables to confirm the odds, and you've got the fastest path from "I want that item" to "I'm farming the right stage for it."

Frequently asked questions
- Where is the best place to farm in Task Bar Hero?
- The best farm is the hardest stage you can clear quickly — clear speed times drop quality is what actually fills your stash. For a specific item, work backwards from its drop table to the stage and loot box that produce it.
- How do drop tables work?
- Each stage has loot boxes, and each box rolls against a weighted drop table. The weights decide how often each item appears, so two stages can drop the same item at very different rates. The drop tables page lists those odds.
- How do I farm a specific market item?
- Look the item up to find which loot box and stage drop it, then farm the fastest stage on that list. Best drops surfaces the highest-value items so you know which ones are worth dedicating a farm to.
- Should I farm gold or items?
- Items — both for upgrades and for market value. Gold accumulates on its own as a by-product of clearing. Pick the stage that maximises valuable item drops per minute, not raw gold.
